Mayfly Study

A personal 3D sculpture project exploring the Mayfly (Ephemeroptera). An insect often mimicked in the fly-fishing world but also an important bioindicator species that helps scientists study different ecosystems.
I spent many hours studying entomology papers to get as accurate as possible.

Modeled in Zbrush, Blender, and Cinema4D. Textured using Photoshop, Illustrator, and Substance Painter/Designer. Rendered in both Arnold and Redshift.
